About Us

PYA is a local tropical fish store specializing in exotic fish, inverts, and live corals in the South Orange County Area. Phil & Christine are happy to service the areas of Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, and Irvine. We have been in the aquarium hobby for over 4 years now and have experienced maintaining fish tanks and aquariums from a gallon up to 1600 gallons, for both freshwater and saltwater! We are proud to have experienced working at other local fish stores in the past, and we're definitely more than proud to say that we've bought over OC Tropical Fish in Lake Forest as of May 2012 to show South Orange County what healthy, cherry-picked livestock as well as honest and reliable customer service are really made of. We want ANYONE to be able to start their own freshwater aquarium OR saltwater tank and we're confident in our ability to set-up a custom aquarium for our customers.



One of the big reasons we started growing our own corals is in response to the lack of quality corals we always see on the market place. Many places like to sell corals that are cut the same week or ones that aren't even marginally close to being healed yet. Here at PYA we're looking to correct that problem and offer you eye candy that are ready-to-go.

This means several things:
  • Corals will have healed for at LEAST 2 weeks or more (corals like SPS often sit in my system for a month+ before they are posted). We have no problem with shipping 1 order a week, we have no target sales we need to meet!
  • Corals will have accurate pictorial representation (our corals are NOT color edited, the most we will do is resize and watermark the photo). If it no longer looks like the photo for any reason, we will tell you and take the listing off.
  • We are doing this as a hobby and a fun project. You can expect our prices and quality of our coral to reflect our passion for the hobby.


    • "Kush Corals" are corals that are AMAZING and NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN(at least often anyway ;P )! You will NOT be able to find these cherry-picks anywhere else! We do not keep any of your personal information on our database except for your name and e-mail.
